Rev. Robert Crummie is the fourth child of the late Edwin and Doris Crummie and a native of Washington, D.C. He graduated with a B.S. in Economics/Business Administration from Benedict College and with a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary (where he served as president of his class and recently was invited on their Board of Trustees). He is in the final stage of completing his Doctorate of Ministry at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He also holds an honorary doctorate from the Denver Institute of Urban Studies.

After serving as a Grants Management Specialist at the NIH he did a four-year stint as a missionary with CRU (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ).

Rev. Crummie accepted the invitation to serve as the Vice President of Carver College in September 1996 and in May 2000; the Carver Board of Trustees elected him the fifth president of the college. Under his leadership the college enlarged its footprint in 2006 from 2.5 acres to 16. He led Carver through initial accreditation in 2006 and its 10 year reaffirmation with ABHE through 2021. He guided the college to access Title IV funding in 2010 and recently has expanded its academic offerings to include degrees in both Psychology and Business. His leadership also brought a men’s and women’s basketball team to the college which both enjoy competitive play in the NCCAA, Division 1.

October 30, 1980 marks the first stitch in the tapestry in the life of Timothy Farmer. Since then, his inspirations and experiences have continued to be the weaver of his growth and development.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Timothy is the younger of two sons born to R.L. and Mary Farmer. He received his formal education in the Riverview Gardens School District. He went on to attend Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he graduated as the top ranking student in his major (elementary education) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in May 2002. In May 2006, Timothy received a Master of Education degree in curriculum and instruction from Argosy University.
In May 2012, he received a Master of Divinity degree in church and community leadership from Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC). He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry at Candler School of Theology at Emory University....

Let’s Talk Fire Safety With Chief Broome

Freddie D. Broome is the newly hired Fire Chief for the City of South Fulton. Prior to joining the City of South Fulton, Chief Broome served as the Fire Chief for the City of Valdosta for 5 years. Chief Broome started his career in Winston-Salem, NC in 1996 and quickly rose through the ranks to Assistant Chief. Chief Broome has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Appalachian State University and has been awarded the Chief Fire Officer Designee by the Center for Public Safety Excellence and the Georgia Fire Chief Certification by the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs. He works as an adjunct instructor at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center and a presenter for the UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Chief Broome is also an active member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs Human Relation Committee and represents the Georgia Municipal Association on the Georgia Fire Academy Advisory Board.
